THE SHINING ELEMENTS TAROT
The Shining Elements Tarot is a creative retelling of the traditional tarot using the four elements to guide others through life’s ups and downs.
The title can give a big clue about what the theme of this deck is all about. Nature is often depicted in my work, so turning each suit into its element was a natural choice. Cups are Water. Swords are Light. Wands are Fire. Pentacles are Flowers.
Water cleanses and transforms; this element represents our emotions, whether they are in turmoil or in balance. Light, like swords, represents our mental or inner state from fresh new ideas, to strategies, to lightning strikes of clarity. Fire sparks, ignites, and runs wild in the pursuit of our dreams and passions, for Fire symbolizes inspiration. Flowers are bountiful. An abundance of flowers portrays a grounded view of our practical wealth and material success.
I’ve been an artist my whole life, jumping through different phases of mediums, but I quickly fell in love with digital art/illustration that, beautifully mixed with my spirituality, formed a new wave of magic and inspiration into my artwork. Around 2022, I started designing different tarot cards through Photoshop and describing the cards’ meaning through imagery. I couldn’t stop the idea from rolling in even if I knew how. Once I started designing these tarot cards, I knew that I could create a full deck. Designing a full 78 cards, a box, a small pamphlet of information, and finding a printer was a monstrous project, but a rewarding one at that. The feedback I’ve received has been wonderful. This deck is full of expression and vibrant color that speaks to others and those who may not resonate with traditional tarot decks. My intention is for this deck is to inspire and attract people of all ages and backgrounds who love fun art with mystical interpretations.
